About 85% of households rely on biomass for cooking, such as wood and charcoal according to the National Population and Housing Census 2024 leading to indoor air pollution and other health problems. The heavy dependence on unsustainable fuels not only affects human health but also contributes to deforestation, climate change, and economic burdens on low-income families.
